Reclaiming our national identity and the heritage of Enlightenment ideals, of freedom, equality, and the pursuit of happiness, upon which our nation was originally founded, and work for directly democratic forms of government that includes the working majority of the public in compliance with The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Nuremberg Code, and other international covenants.

We are for:
Restoration of the basic constitutional principles that secure the general welfare of the country and personal and collective freedom embedded in the Bill of Rights and later amendments.

Democratic governance, rooted in regional and municipal jurisdictions, empowered by a global and national working class movement capable of running society transparently, honestly, and in the interest of all humanity.

We are for:
Economic democracy based on principles of cooperation and the full engagement of the working class, small businesses and professional middle class, as well as student bodies, the self-employed and retired.

We are for:
A cooperative economy empowered by workers’ collectives and communities of shared interests.

We are for:
An authentically free and open media, accountability from government and corporations, transparency in all affairs, and protection for whistleblowers.

We are for:

We are for:
Exposing and enabling the prosecution of all State Crimes Against our Democracy (SCAD) including the Federal Covid Response, which involves illegal mandates and the fraudulent advancement of experimental vaccines involving the denial of alternative treatments that includes repurposed post-patent pharmaceuticals.

We are for:
A liberation coalition that can make a difference by countering the forces of corruption with protest, media actions, public relations campaigns, election of leaders with integrity to public office, appointment of grand jury investigations into state and corporate malfeasance.

We are for:
A liberation movement that engages in local, statewide, national, and global economic and political strikes, that advances the formation of workers councils to serve as the nucleus of a new workers’ democratic republic to replace the corrupted regime.

We are for:
Justice for State Crimes Against Democracy in the case of domestic and foreign crimes, especially the JFK, MLK, RFK, Malcolm X assassinations, September 11th, 2001 attacks including subsequent anthrax attack on US Senate, and foreign crimes in the case of assassination of national leaders in Iran, Congo, Guatemala, Indonesia, Chile and other documented crimes that empowered capitalism and involved agents of the U.S. Government.

We are for:
While we recognize the gender identity stated by any person, we also recognize the importance of biological sex as it pertains to the protection and dignity of biological women. We support the collective and personal freedom of females to control social spaces specific to women and girls in places like sports venues, the prison system, and other public spaces.

What we are against:

We are against:
The United States Imperial Project imposed on the world by the plutocratic oligarchy and deep state agents who have solidified and extended their power through the rise of national security law and the commission of state crimes against a presidency and movement builders. The hopes of the American people for a peace dividend from the end of the Cold War with the collapse of the Berlin Wall was denied by the events of 9/11.

We are against:
The Globalist Project that endeavors to advance a Trans-Humanist  techno-totalitarianism, marked by a digitally monitored social credit  system, promoted by the World Economic Forum and other non-governmental agencies, like the World Health Organization; many cities, counties, and countries around the world have embraced the Globalist vision that every human be marked by a QR code, initially deployed under the Vaccine Passport rollout in Europe and North America.

We are against:
Domination by Capital and a ruling plutocracy that has centralized to the point where a tiny global capitalist elite can buy off governments, media, and coordinate horrific campaigns to maintain their rule through proxy power players in the Big Pharma / Medical Industrial Complex.

We are against the destruction of nature and the web of life.

We are against vaccine mandates, forced vaccinations and marginalization of vaccine non-compliant, as well as, we oppose vaccine passports, and the idea of a Pandemic Treaty advanced by the World Health Organization.

We are against:
The concentration of capital with its galloping and unchecked corruption into state agencies and society at large, which has led to complete corporate capitalist impunity, an egregious consequence of unchecked power.

We are against:
The ‘Power Elite’, as C. Wright Mills called them,  who make decisions about how society should be run, with bullets and repression, for anyone, no matter how important they might be, who oppose their imperialist, murderous, exploitative agenda.

We are against:

The technocracy that endeavors to commodify all aspects of life, and build out the surveillance state. Technocracy, the rule by the technocrat, the ones who build algorithms, operate opaquely, behind the walls of august academic institutions, governmental agencies and powerful corporations.

This technocracy seeks to apply technology without end, and to date, has done so without an accounting for the effects on society and nature.

Especially harmful, the technocracy has pushed the unbridled development of chemicals that has led to ‘forever chemicals’ and caused mass die-off of insects and other species. The plutocratic technocracy has pushed for genetically engineered organisms in food, created a medical industrial complex, advanced the broad application of microwave radiation in the form of the ‘internet of things,’ all with the aim of capturing total market control of human and natural life.

Moreover, unbridled industrial development, supercharged by capitalist search for profits, has led to mass pollution, global warming, all of which causes multiple forms of cancer and the destruction of the Earth’s eco-system and habitat that supports other living beings. This must end.

Liberation Coalition Manifesto: Call to Action

The Call

In the name of Martin Luther King, John F. Kennedy, and other victims of state crimes, we make the following appeal:

We have come to a time, when we the people who are inclined toward liberty, and who bear witness to corruption and malfeasance from state and corporate authorities, decide to withdraw our consent to be governed by a government that has lost legitimacy due to a failure to follow the constitution and look out for the ‘general welfare’ of the country.

In addition, we assert our democratic right to rebuild government and redefine the scope of power held by corporations and the oligarchic plutocracy. This liberation coalition manifesto is an assertion of sovereignty of the people to reclaim sections of society and the state that have been usurped by a ruling oligarchic plutocracy. This call is an invitation to the country to sign onto, and stand in solidarity with, a call to transform our country and take control of our destiny as a free people.

This call for a Liberation Coalition was initially conceived as a dissident reaction to the failure to prosecute state crimes against democracy. This call for liberation is born of indignation at the injustice of cover ups ranging from the JFK, Malcolm X, MLK and RFK and other 1960’s assassinations, to the September 11th attacks and subsequent Anthrax attack on Senate leaders. It was conceived that a freedom movement could mobilize a mass movement aimed at changing the republic and society for the better by channelling a desire for justice into a liberation movement.

But now, with the development of Covid and the Globalist push for a “Great Reset”, the need for a Liberation Movement has taken on an even greater urgency. Since a concerted fear campaign has been weaponized to induce mass compliance with lockdown protocols and vaccine mandates, the country has been put on a path toward an emerging techno-totalitarianism envisioned by Globalist leadership within the World Economic Forum.

The influence of the Globalist / Medical / Military Industrial Complex in the Federal Covid Response is seen in the lockdown of society, and the denial of early treatment for Covid infections and the singular focus on getting jabs into every arm as the solution to Covid. The Federal Covid Response, which is marked by fraudulent use of emergency use authority, demonstrates the grave urgency for a Liberation Movement that can provide leadership in opposition to the Globalist agenda.

Prior to the Covid ‘pandemic’, dissident voices have long demanded accountability and justice. Denunciations of governmental and corporate corruption and other malfeasance have been inadequately addressed or full out covered up. Protection of whistleblowers and establishment of an independent media are critical for a Liberation Movement to succeed.

At bottom, this call for a liberation movement is an expression of indignation, (enough is enough). When the totality of the crimes that have been committed by deep state agents of the plutocratic oligarchy is considered, it becomes clear that a multi-generational assault against our democracy (the will of the people to choose elected representatives) has occurred. Deep state impunity violates basic law of the land in the name of national security and has brought us to this momentous occasion where withdrawal of our consent to be governed is necessary.

The domination of society by corporate and governmental agencies, as the arms and legs of the plutocracy, stem from a long history of the financial elites’ control of court systems, banking concerns, the Big Oil and Big Pharma cartels, and other financial giants. They have secured power by using the deep state to advance the plutocratic agenda.

The long history of unaccountability has led to elite impunity.

The stage for impunity was set long ago. Historians can trace a starting point for the practice of deep state / oligarchic plutocratic impunity clear back to the American Revolution. Others go further back in time to 1619, others highlight the Andrew Jackson presidency, others start with with the formation of the Federal Reserve and World War I and the Espionage Act, and others assign the 1947 National Security Act as most fateful, and so on. But the most compelling start point in our modern era is the warning from President Eisenhower to rein in the Military Industrial Complex two days before he left the White House.

President Kennedy sought to limit the power of the deep state operations of the CIA, but was murdered for his efforts. The failure to prosecute President  Kennedy’s assassination and the other 1960’s political crimes, including the September 11th cover up, the Big Lie of weapons of mass destruction rationalizing the Iraq War in 2003, among other deceptions, have set the stage for the current attack on our democracy under the Covid ‘pandemic’.

The crimes of September 11th attacks on the Trade Center and the Pentagon were covered up by national and domestic security agencies that should have conducted open, honest and professional forensic examinations of the crime scenes. This did not happen, and the cover up shows these agencies acted against our constitution, and prevented a full disclosure of what happened.

Indeed, the Federal Bureau of Investigation covered up all the crimes, as well as, the subsequent Anthrax attack, which enabled quick passage of the Patriot Act and the empowerment of the national security / surveillance state. By these acts of malfeasance, the public was tricked into acquiescing to the usurpation of additional powers by the state to surveil and act without regard to civil rights and constitutional protections.

As a result of unaccountable state crimes, the country has essentially and effectively, been stolen, and the republic has been crippled by big money interests. Consequently, the republic is no longer a constitutional republic determined by democratic elections, but has morphed into an oligarchic state in which the FDA / CDC / NIH, and other agencies, now act as agents of the plutocracy. Federal agencies are not acting according to a duty to the constitution to look out for the ‘general welfare’ and public interest.

The impunity of the deep state to commit state crimes is compounded by a relentless propaganda campaign. A slew of false narratives has induced in many Americans a hypnotized state in which an Orwellian world of Big Lies, Doublethink, Group Think, and other conditions of living in a propagandized world, impede dialogue and rational discourse. This is by design; as a result, the nation is unable to process the crimes and people remain captured to false narratives. The trauma of state crimes pushes many in society into cognitive dissonance.

The Covid Crime

The latest state crime against our democracy unfolded as a dangerous pathogen, the SARS Cov2 virus. The Big Pharma / CDC / NIH / FDA, military and medical industrial complex cabal, have contrived the Covid faux-pandemic.

The Federal Covid Response was framed as an international pandemic, but was conducted under a national security protocol in which the origin, and lab design, of SARS Cov2, was hidden under national security secrecy rules. The Covid ‘pandemic’ response was marked by a relentless fear campaign, and suppression of early treatment protocols that enabled fraudulent ‘emergency use’ authorization by the FDA for the vaccines.

Though the official reports on the numbers of ‘cases’ was based on dubious testing, the true nature of the pandemic remains opaque, hidden behind numerical obfuscation, and a failure to conduct due diligence by the authorities of the vaccine ‘experiment.’

Reports of adverse events to the Covid vaccines show that the Federal Covid Response is an unmitigated disaster for the country but has been a boondoggle for the Medical Industrial Complex.

See article from Blaylock for a concise critique of the Fedeal Covid Response as unmitigated disaster: https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/covid-pandemic-manipulated-disease-history/?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=72cf84d0-1869-4133-a6bb-09fd1a654660https://childrenshealthdefense.org/defender/covid-pandemic-manipulated-disease-history/?eType=EmailBlastContent&eId=72cf84d0-1869-4133-a6bb-09fd1a654660

Questions demand answers and an honest investigation into multiple aspects of the Federal Covid Response is in order. Prosecution of fraud is absolutely necessary to dispel the idea of a legitimate health emergency.

Numerous acts of fraud show levels of malfeasance never seen before.

The refusal by CDC / FDA / NIH to issue emergency use authorization to repurpose stocks of post-patent anti-virals to treat Covid infections, is one example of a policy that favored the Big Pharma and denied ‘we the people’ access to medicine. This denial of emergency use provided a financial bounty to Big Pharma; the false claims that no medicine was available to treat Covid infectoins set the stage for the fraudulent application of the Emergency Use Authorization for vaccines.

The presidential call for a vaccine mandate, and the lockdowns of businesses and public institutions are rank violations of constitutionally protected liberty. Namely, we the people have been denied informed consent of the risks and dangers of vaccines; there has been censorship of criticisms of the ‘science’ behind the vaccines; the practice of medicine was shanghaied by federal bureaucracy, and many doctors and nurses have been forced out of their respective professions for refusal to comply with mandate to vaccinate.

The power play to compel mandates is one  piece of a larger plan to exercise extreme controls over the populace. The mandates have divided society into the compliant versus vaccine refuseniks. This divide has been fostered by the Covid mis- and dis- information campaigns conducted by the FDA / CDC / NIH Big Pharma cabal with the assistance of mainstream media.

We are in a civil war conducted by the global elites against the population through coerced compliance and a mass propaganda campaign to accept vaccines. Even so, courts are not supporting the Biden Administrations effort to compel vaccinations, indicating the executive order was an unconstitutional usurpation of authority. We in this liberation coalition, accept that society is in the grip of a plutocratic cabal, aka ‘Globalists,’ that is using the mandate, and a Covid fear campaign to set the stage for greater levels of control over the population.

Indeed, a move by the World Health Organization to become an international health authority to dictate medical practice in sovereign nations belies the end plan, or true purpose of the Covid Pandemic: a Globalist project to create global controls over world populations. A preponderance of evidence from highly credible sources indicates this is what is happening.

On the Broader Issue of Constitutional Rights under Covid Pandemic.

On basic civil rights grounds, we oppose the bureaucratic gate keeping conducted by the FDA / CDC / NIH to dictate the practice of medicine, a states’ right to determine. Moreover, the principle of informed consent has been completely abandoned by the Federal Covid Response, given that a mandate violates informed consent and the right to voluntary compliance.

We call on others who recognize that ‘Enough Impunity is Enough’, to join together and form a Liberation Coalition. This Liberation Coalition, as the kernel for a national and international liberation movement, are a unity of left, right and center. Our national and international problem of a Global Plutocratic Oligarchic elite goes beyond party politics and is the stuff of fundamental rights and liberty for ‘we the people.’

This manifesto is a call to action in a grand civil and political and economic rights struggle for the reclamation of our republic. We do not count on elected officials to do the right thing for the country; they won’t act until they feel safe, or forced by  a mass mobilization of ‘we the people.’

We envision a struggle involving consumer boycotts, petitions of grievance, acts of civil disobedience, assemblies of protest, petitioning for grand jury investigations, speaking in protest, all culminating in tactical strikes and a grand strategic general strike to force change. In fact, all of the above is already in play, but without a concerted coalition pushing coherently for mass mobilization, the freedom movement will remain siloed in individual, particular projects.

A Liberation Coalition endeavors to build a mass unity movement that speaks in a common voice and that seeks the revamping of our constitutional republic. Developing our common voice will require conferences, white papers, and an engaged vanguard of concerned citizens willing to talk together to forge the way forward.

Chief among our demands is freedom from state and corporate domination. In addition, as a general objective, we seek reforms that ensure human dignity and a basic right / capacity to live life fully to the best of ones potential. Any liberation coalition worth its salt must stand for the preservation and restoration of Earth’s eco-sphere. For this we struggle.

We the undersigned individuals and groups, stand in solidarity with this call to take back our republic by mobilizing a mass liberation movement founded on democratic right to reform the state. Furthermore, liberation requires prosecution of state crimes against our democracy, as well the prosecution of other corporate and governmental malfeasance. Ending elite impunity is necessary for securing the general welfare of the nation. Getting accountability and justice is the predicate for building out an electoral system that is free from corporate / plutocratic domination.

We understand our country has been stolen and now we want it back. To recall Ben Franklin’s remark about replacing the king with a republic, he stated ‘it remains to be seen if the American people can hold onto it [their newly founded republic];’ sadly, the American people have lost out to the plutocracy, but now we are ready to try again, but with eyes wide open, fully aware of the power of the plutocracy.

Post-script: We consider this “Liberation Manifesto” a ‘living document’ and invite any and all signatories to compose a preface / prologue statement to qualify support for the Manifesto, or provide an epilogue statement to add perspective and nuance for consideration of what is needed for a liberation movement to succeed. As a living document, it will grow and add nuance with the growing membership. Ultimately, we must compose a Declaration of Independence from oligarchic/plutocratic domination.

In the end, any true liberation from oligarchic plutocratic domination will require new laws and changes to the US Constitution, or a rewrite entirely. This means the movement needs to bring the wise people together to produce leaders willing to run for office, to form committees to craft a new constitution, if this is the direction the liberation movement takes. We must remain steadfast to the cause of prosecuting state crimes; otherwise, unpunished impunity will provide the breeding ground for a new crop of tyrants. National reconciliation around state crimes may be considered a goal for liberation as well.

Green Liberty Caucus agenda items for January 8, 2022 Pacific Green Party of Oregon convention.

Green Liberty Caucus, Oregon Chapter proposes two agenda items for January 8 convention: Chuck Fall presenter, representing Liberty Caucus, but also appealing in his personal capacity as Green Party activist.

These two agenda items are matters the newly formed Green Liberty Caucus, State Chapter of the Pacific Green Party of Oregon seeks to bring before the Convention.

Our first matter is a resolution from this convention requesting the National Committee of the Green Party US to establish a standing committee named Committee for Government Accountability, Transparency and Whistleblower protection. The reasons and rational are represented in the application. See application below.

Green party libertarian group forms Liberty Caucus chapter.Seeks accountability for malfeasance from government and corporate leadersDemands transparency in affairs and protections for whistleblowers.Cries ‘democracy dies without a free press’; supports independent media.

Six supporting members of the Pacific Green Party formed a statewide chapter, calling it the Green Liberty Caucus, Oregon chapter.

Founder Chuck Fall claims using the word “liberty” to highlight the need for accountability is a challenge to the right wing which has largely claimed the mantle of liberty, progressives and leftists eschewing the word, instead making calls for justice.

“But, the right doesn’t have a monopoly on the term; liberty is multi-partisan, humanitarian, opposite of authoritarian; it stands for basic constitutional liberties; Greens need to give the idea our spin,” said Fall

Fall claims the Green Movement, and by extension the PGP itself, can increase its number by appealing to Liberty.

“Caucus members, as libertarians, oppose state / corporate domination, especially when it denies freedom. For example, we feel the mandate and covid policies are unconstitutional. Under this wide umbrella of criticism, and demand for liberty, we end up allies with the Right around medical / health freedom. We can grow the Green Movement in this intersection of ideas,” said Fall.

The Green Liberty Caucus gives voice to issues mainstream thinkers are silent about, like resisting 5G, calling out the 9/11 and JFK state crimes, resisting the mandate, defending whistleblowers.

“There is a divide in the Green Party, that is reflected in society at large, and that is between the skeptical and the not-skeptical; generally speaking, we don’t trust the government,” said Fall. “We don’t accept the official narrative.”

Fall says that on the vaccine mandate, government authorities have suspended ‘informed consent’ by pushing experimental vaccines, and under the cloak of a national security event, they have advanced a fear campaign, stifled early treatment protocols, and coerced the country into taking a vaccine for a virus that came out of a lab.

If following the money is a meaningful adage to impart motive, then the huge profits Big Pharma has raked in is a tell. It shows Big Pharma conducted a land grab by compelling mandatory testing, mandatory vaccines and, most scandalous, denied early treatment protocols using repurposed anti-viral medications. However, the Covid 9/11 gets even worse.

“Most egregious,” said Jack Dresser, the author of an expose on the Covid ‘pandemic,’ “ is that the SARSCOV2 did come out of a lab; it has been engineered, the US Government reportedly holds a patent on the gain of function tech used in the spike protein; by definition, it is a bioweapon and, as a penalty, call it justice, for letting the virus out, bio-safety labs levels 3 and 4 need to be shut down around the world and in the US, and the dangerous gain of function work stopped.”

The founding members hail from Ashland to Portland with stops in Eugene and Corvallis areas, “but we want to get members from central and eastern Oregon,” said Fall, showing hope that the Green Liberty Caucus could grow into a national and even international Green Movement.

Members include: Chuck Fall, Dan Pulju, Charles Newlin, Mariah, Jack Dresser, Suzia Aufderheid.

The Chapter’s first order of business is the January 8 convention to vote on advancing a request to the Green Party US national committee to form a Government Accountability Committee that would inform national committee and steering committee members on critical matters regarding government and corporate malfeasance, need for transparency, and protections for whistleblowers.

Pacific Green Party activists seek to form Green Liberty Caucus to fight corruption and oppose malfeasance; opposes militarism.

Re: Application to form of statewide, non-geographical chapter; Green Liberty Caucus, Oregon Chapter, Pacific Green Party of Oregon:

Summary: Green Liberty Caucus, Oregon Chapter, founding members seek recognition from SCC as a state-wide, non-geographic chapter. We are a chapter with a mission, please read further for explanation and reason for forming this chapter.

Foundational principles upon which base our perspective:

(Bylaws Statement of Principles) “The Pacific Green Party recognizes that our society and government are plagued by inequality, militarism, poverty, and pollution. We envision and strive to create a local-based grassroots democracy that will overcome these societal ills.”

(Platform of PGP; War and Foreign Policy; Non-Violence) “We will work to dismantle the US war machine, including both the military-industrial complex and the global hegemony it expands and maintains. To do this, we must overcome our government’s exceptionalism and bring it into compliance with the norms of international law and diplomacy.”

We the founding members request recognition from the State Coordinating Committee as an official chapter; we request our application be referred to the January 8 Convention for formal ratification.

We are: Green Liberty Caucus, Oregon Chapter; Pacific Green Party of Oregon.

The Green Liberty Caucus chapter is a  non-geographical state wide chapter open to any registered Pacific Green Party member.

Members of this chapter organize as a chapter under the rules and guidelines of the Pacific Green Party. We, the core founders, are all supporting members of the PGP. The Green Liberty Caucus chapter is open to any registered green  who feels the call to resist militarism, defend liberty and civil rights, and seek accountability for corporate and government malfeasance that is at the root of the military industrial complex.

We subscribe to the sentiment in the essay at chuckfall blog that outlines the reason and value for a Government Accountability, Transparency and Whistleblower caucus. The essay highlights malfeasance that qualify as state crimes against our democracy including events around the Covid pandemic.

Our mission is to fight for justice, resist militarism, call out malfeasance, resist censorship, and advance the Green project as the antidote to the poison of a corrupt power structure that has denied key liberties and produced an ecological catastrophe; it is this emergency that the Liberty Caucus endeavors to address. We are a call for freedom from techno-domination and an emerging digital fascism of collusion between state and corporate agencies.

A preponderance of evidence shows the American Republic housed in Congress, the judiciary and presidency, have become deeply corrupted by Big Money and of late by the Big Pharma Military Industrial Complex. There is a string of malfeasance for which we demand justice.

We accept that the country was stolen, figuratively speaking, by deep state operators tied to the plutocratic elite, when President Kennedy was killed. His assassination was preceded by the rise of the national security state and the military industrial complex. Compounding the loss of Kennedy, the subsequent 1960’s assassinations, and the 9/11 events have been crushing blows to our democracy as the power of the national security state increased with each event.

Our job today is to reclaim our republic from a plutocratic oligarchy that solidified its power on November 23, 1963. Had JFK, Malcolm X, MLK and RFK, and members of the Black Panthers not been assassinated, history may well have arced toward justice as Dr. King envisioned. But the arc was broken instead. To correct this we must speak to this terrible truth, and for this we need media.

We recognize that society is divided into a bifurcated media universe, in which mainstream media provides a highly curated flow of information that conditions the popular consciousness to accept the official narratives. To heal this divide, we call for honest, truthful, accurate media that is independent from Big Money interests.

We are skeptical about mainstream media. The CIA ran COINTELPRO program called ‘Mockingbird’ which involved planting or turning news and commentary and book authors into curators for the official narrative. Alternative media is necessary for gathering the truth.

We stand in solidarity with many non-mainstream media sources. To make sense of what is going on in the world, we apply critical reasoning skills from all available sources and study the evidence. We endeavor to make reasoned judgement and avoid fallacious argument. We aspire for rational analysis of correlations, actual cause, events, coincidences, and curious anomalies to develop understanding and draw conclusions. To make a judgement call, we weigh the facts and causes and correlations for the preponderance of evidence each situation provides, and by this process make claims and petition our grievances.

Currently, a medical freedom / anti-vaccine mandate movement is building around the world. We are in solidarity with this world wide anti-authoritarian effort, and call on Greens to officially oppose the vaccine mandates as a violation of civil rights, an egregious overreach by state authorities.

We call on fellow Greens to align with the Green Liberty Caucus and resist a plutocratic technocracy that is engineering a Globalist domination of social, economic, and natural life.

A Green Liberty Caucus monitors for corruption by government, non-government, and corporate agencies and seeks accountability, transparency, and protections for whistleblowers as well as independent media. We support the Green Movement by countering the forces of corruption with protest, media actions, public relations campaigns, electing truth leaders to office, and engaging in intersectionality with others to advance consumer boycotts, and local, statewide and national strikes to build integrity into the American republic.

The Green Party US should dispute the popular media over 9/11

The Green Party US should dispute the popular media claim that the events of the 1/6/2021 capitol are connected to the September 11, 2001 “terrorist” attacks. Through media spin, the case is being made that Trump followers are influenced by a conspiracy theory skepticism that has fostered a domestic terrorism threat. This conflation of terrorism with the skeptics of the official narrative, is another ‘Big Lie’ to bookend the Big Lie of 9/11 20 years later.

There are different spins being put on the argument, but media from Frontline, to NY Times, Washington Post, Guardian and others are reinforcing a claim that the doubters about 9/11 brought about the conspiracy theorists Trump rallied to his cause. No one in mainstream media is questioning the official ‘false’ narrative.

For example, a New York times opinion piece explains “how September 11 gave us January 6.” Though, this article says “terrorism” of 9/11 led to domestic terrorism from hard right, it suggests doubts about official narrative feeds into domestic unrest.

Jennifer Rubin in Washington Post actually takes skepticism about the 9/11 official narrative as an indictment of Republican Party; she suggests its tolerance of QAnon conspiracy theorists makes the GOP complicit by enabling Trump to tell his “Big Lie.”

On the 20th anniversary of 9/11, we are getting a media spin that skeptics of the official narrative have fostered the growth of domestic terrorism.

President Bush, in his recent speech commemorating 9/11 uses the occasion to reinforce the official narrative that ‘foreign terrorists,’ and doubts about the official story, connect with Trump and his people with a domestic threat.

Today we the people of the USA should be reflecting on what really happened. We should be calling out the absurd lies being told about Building #7, the third building to collapse at 5:20pm, which is a smoking gun of controlled demolition.

Since 9/11, our country has been subjected to an orchestrated media campaign to assert the ‘Big Lie’ that Al-Qaeda attacked the towers and caused them to collapse from impacts of the airplanes.

But the evidence of Building 7 collapsing from an obvious controlled demolition continues to be covered up by acts of omission from mainstream media.

The media was managed to report that Al-qaeda did it; that planes caused the collapse due to structural failure of the buildings. This was all asserted by a few individuals that presumably were planted to establish the story line that was repeated by the officials in charge of discussing the 9/11 event.

Initial news reports document the first impression from observers of the buildings’ collapse; it shows the obvious fact of controlled demolition; this is what people saw and reported.

The official “Big Lie’ was established in the first two hours of the attack on the Towers. As the author of the Brasscheck TV reports; a few well placed ‘fake’ journalists is all it takes to start a false narrative.

Furthermore, we should recall that the Anthrax attack on the two Democratic Party Senators who resisted passing the Patriot Act without review and debate, remains unresolved. It is a fact that USA Fort Dietrich was the source of the anthrax that shut down the Senate and hastened the passage of the Patriot Act.

Green Party US calls on Congress to release all remaining classified documents on the September 11th attacks, and calls on Congress to commission an independent tribunal to conduct a full investigation of all events including the cover up, in full transparency without national security limitations.

Green Party US platform calls for investigations into the events of September 11, 2001, and we call for the suspension of the Patriot Act as it was passed by Congress while under undress, and Congress was not of sound mind, suffering psychological shock.

But the most significant trauma that plays on American consciousness is tied to our trust of government and willingness to accept the official narrative, which violates correspondence between what we are told to believe and what our eyes and ears and intuitions tell us. We are told to believe a false narrative, advanced by mainstream media, that defies common sense; we have been conditioned to accept a lie as a salve to our trauma, but which actually traumatizes us further at a subconscious level because we are forced into cognitive dissonance, and then participate in ‘group speak.’

Our sense of reality was bludgeoned by a misinformation campaign that continues today; indeed, twenty years later, we are not reminded of Building 7, rather we are told that the conspiracy theorists have enabled domestic terrorism, a crude assertion that shows a dreadful lack of imagination.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/09/10/false-toxic-sept-11-conspiracy-theories-are-still-widespread-today/

“Opinion: False, toxic Sept. 11 conspiracy theories are still widespread today” “The birth of a conspiracy theory; Trutherism emerged almost immediately after the attacks.”

“In a variety of polls in the first decade after 9/11, Democrats were more likely than Republicans to believe in Trutherism. In a 2006 Ohio University survey, 51 percent of Democrats signed on to some form of Trutherism, while only 18 percent of Republicans did the same. The survey is imperfect — it doesn’t include a “somewhat unlikely” option, and other polls show much higher percentages that “don’t know” — but it demonstrates that Trutherism had a solid foothold on the left.”

“Law professor Evan Laine and political economist Raju Parakkal of Thomas Jefferson University studied what drove so many Americans to subscribe to the conspiracy theories that Bush was behind the attacks.”

“Truther communities cropped up online and believers met at conferences across the country. A new class of “experts” also emerged. Fenster explained that academics such as physicist Steven Jones and theologian David Ray Griffin, as well as longtime conspiracy theorists including Alex Jones, made the case for Trutherism in books, broadcasts and lectures. Within a few years, an entire Trutherism industry had formed.”

“Trump and the changing face of Trutherism
After Bush left office, conspiracy-theory enthusiasts found new obsessions, such as Obama’s birth certificate. But in 2016, amid the rise of Donald Trump (and eight years of Obama as president), Trutherism became more prevalent among Republicans.
By the time Trump took office, the partisan divide on Trutherism had nearly disappeared.”
Meanwhile, Trump embraced conspiracy theories around election fraud, Obama’s citizenship and other topics. And, although Trump didn’t endorse Sept. 11 Trutherism specifically, he tiptoed around the edges of it and elevated leading Truthers such as Jones.”
“Conspiracy theories existed in both parties before Trump became the Republican standard-bearer. But Trump brought conspiratorial thinking into the mainstream, encouraging his followers — explicitly or implicitly — to trust no one else and follow him down the rabbit hole.” “A new forever conspiracy theory?”
“Twenty years on, Trutherism remains substantial. One in 6 Americans — including 19 percent of Democrats and 14 percent of Republicans — believe in some form of the conspiracy theory.”
“To be sure, Republicans are currently more supportive of dangerous conspiracy theories, such as election fraud and fear mongering about coronavirus vaccines. But the data on Trutherism shows there is an audience for conspiracy theories in both parties. A sizable subset of voters are prepared to believe things for which there is no evidence. America will have to cope with that for years to come.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/09/11/yes-jan-6-insurrectionists-were-terrorists-george-w-bush-just-indicted-them/ “And the Republican Party continues to minimize, deflect and ignore the 1/6 terrorist attack. Can one imagine in the wake of 9/11 Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell asking senators as a “favor” not to investigate the 9/11 attacks? Consider the reaction had House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy insisted we not bother investigating 9/11 because the other side was simply seeking to score political points. One can only imagine the reaction if, after a foreign attack premised on the big lie, Sens. Ted Cruz, Josh Hawley and the other Republicans proceeded to make challenges to the democratic process based on the same conspiracy theory advanced by foreign terrorists.” “The press, the ecosystem of donors, activists and operatives, and even, to an extent, the Democrats all treat Republicans as a normal political party within our democratic system, rather than as the enablers of a “foul spirit” and violent extremism. They shy away from labeling Republicans as “1/6 truthers” when the GOP’s effort to direct blame away from the actual terrorists is no better than claiming 9/11 was an inside job. (McCarthy and his cohorts insist it’s Pelosi who should be investigated.)”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/09/11/yes-jan-6-insurrectionists-were-terrorists-george-w-bush-just-indicted-them/ “The 1/6 terrorists breached the building the 9/11 terrorists could not. Both the 9/11 terrorists and the domestic 1/6 terrorists sought to destroy our democracy in service to a crazed ideology of intolerance.” “The press, the ecosystem of donors, activists and operatives, and even, to an extent, the Democrats all treat Republicans as a normal political party within our democratic system, rather than as the enablers of a “foul spirit” and violent extremism. They shy away from labeling Republicans as “1/6 truthers” when the GOP’s effort to direct blame away from the actual terrorists is no better than claiming 9/11 was an inside job.” “The media would be compelled to drop its false equivalence between the parties. We would, in short, reach the inevitable conclusion that today’s GOP operates outside of and is a threat to peaceful democratic governance and a multiracial democracy.”

He continues to spread other conspiracy theories today; they, too, have infected the nation’s politics…This time, as Bush said Saturday, it is not international terrorism that poses the greatest threat to the homeland; it is domestic terrorism from white supremacists and others. Twenty years on from 9/11, that is the state of the country.”

https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2021/09/13/wallace-ricketts-covid-vaccine-scam/ this article from Greg Sargent shows how spin is being made around failure to trust the Federal government as undermining public health. “The coverage neglects the active bad-faith efforts by Republicans and their media allies to harden that same distrust.
Does this mean Republicans are engaged in a fully organized, party-wide effort to sabotage our national covid response?

  • That may be the wrong question. The reality is a nuanced one: At best, Republicans are demonstrably seeking to undermine confidence in vaccines (and masks) in ways that lack any serious or discernible public interest rationale and go far beyond mere standard-issue GOP suspicion of government mandates, for plainly instrumental purposes.
  • This deserves scrutiny on its own, as a form of deceptive bad-faith conduct in public service that is itself a big contributor to our crises. It shouldn’t be merely accepted as a background condition of our politics that’s natural and inevitable, one whose consequences it is only upon Democrats to overcome.”

Pacific Green Party resolution to request Green Party US National Committee to enact Standing Committee on Government Accountability, Transparency and Whistleblower Protections

Pacific Green Party of Oregon proposal to Green Party US, National Committee to form a Government Accountability Standing Committee; proposal advanced from the August 21,2021 PGP state convention, passed by consensus / majority vote.

6-4.1 SPONSOR: From Pacific Green Party of Oregon.

6-4.2 CONTACT: Chuck Fall, 503-484-5548; chuckfall@yahoo.com.

6-4.3 SUBJECT/TITLE: Establish a Standing Committee titled Government Accountability, Transparency and Whistleblower Protections.

6-4.4 TYPE OF PROPOSAL, EXPECTED APPROVAL THRESHOLD: Standing Committee requires 2/3 of all ‘yes’ and ‘no’ votes cast for passage.

6-2.1(f) Establishment of Standing and Ad Hoc Committees shall require 2/3 of all ‘yes’ and ‘no’ votes cast for passage.

6-4.5 REQUESTED PROPOSAL DECISION-MAKING TIMELINE
Request two to three week response.

6-4.6 BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: The GP US and the Pacific Green Party of Oregon have multiple platform planks that highlight the need for vigilant monitoring of multiple issues. In many cases, Green positions hold that government is too powerful and unaccountable to oversight and needs to be reined in; for example, Pacific Greens call for the military industrial complex to be dismantled and for the CIA to be closed down. GP US calls for investigations into 9/11.

All our platform planks are aspirational but without any consistent pressure from an active citizenry and Green Party, our hopes for change will not be addressed. A Government Accountability Committee is a way for the Green Party to push back in a concerted way, and show leadership on difficult topics enumerated in GP US and Pacific Green Party platforms.

6-4.7 PROPOSAL: Create a standing committee titled Committee for Government Accountability, Transparency and Whistleblower Protections; [and an independent media free from Big Money, corporate and state, influence.]

Mission of Government Accountability Committee: is to hold government and corporations accountable for following the rules, demand transparency in all proceedings and deliberations from Government and Corporate organizations, and support protections for whistle blowers with immunity from prosecution.

Grass roots democracy is a primary objective of the Green Movement as it is one of the four pillars of the 10 Key Values. Our values recognize that a healthy republic requires these measures: accountability, transparency and whistle blower protections; for without oversight, malfeasance will be conducted with impunity, as sadly, to varying degrees, is what happens today.

Green principles for non-violence impel Greens to call out malfeasance that harms the common weal; we recognize the problem of the military industrial complex, which requires vigilant oversight of policies and practice. Oversight requires transparency in government affairs; however, secrecy breeds corruption, so we support Whistle Blowers and just prosecution of government and corporate wrongdoing. We the people of the Green Party would know very little of the truth about the national security state without whistle blowers; our democracy needs them. A Government Accountability Committee would also serve to petition Congress for investigations and other means to hold government and corporations accountable for wrong-doing and over-reach of authority.

We resolve to recognize the value and need for a standing committee that would vigilantly address issues and concerns raised in the GP US platform. See Bold Face sections of the platform (posted below) that speak to areas of concern that require monitoring and vigilant media attention to protect our country and maintain the struggle to advance Green values.

The Pacific Green Party of Oregon requests that the National Committee recognize that a Government Accountability Committee dedicated to accountability and transparency, would be good for the Party and be useful to the National Committee as a way to fulfill goals informed by the 10 Key Values and Platform Planks.

The Pacific Green Party of Oregon requests the National Committee create a Government Accountability Standing Committee that would work to advance the mission as stated in the proposal.

6-4.8 IMPLEMENTATION/TIMELINE/RESOURCES: A Steering Committee for government accountability will function as a standing committee at the service of the National Committee. Once recognized, the Government Accountability Standing Committee will meet and establish goals and objectives and be informed by the Government Accountability Committee mission. It is anticipated that the Committee will meet on a bi-monthly basis; it will be entirely volunteer, and will be made up of Green members from states across the country. The Committee will model itself on best practices to achieve the highest level of performance as possible.

It will be a goal of the Committee to reach out to all Caucuses, state parties, and National Committees to develop a network of activists to fulfill the mission: monitor state and corporate entities for accountability, demand transparency, and support Whistleblower Protections.

Appendix:
Platforms from Oregon’s Pacific Green Party and GP US highlighting themes that a Government Accountability Committee would address.

From Pacific Green Party of Oregon: in our platform under Non-Violence pillar , sub War and Foreign Policy plank we say: “We will work to dismantle the US war machine, including both the military-industrial complex and the global hegemony it expands…End mass surveillance and manipulation of public opinion by intelligence agencies, and repeal laws which facilitate this, in particular the USA Patriot Act. We will abolish the CIA and NSA.”

A Government Accountability Committee will support actualizing these elements in the Oregon Green Party Platform. For example, the Committee could issue ‘white papers’ on why and how the CIA and NSA could and should be abolished, to support broader reforms to dismantle the Military Industrial Complex, and work with the Foreign Policy Committee to develop broad policy statements that advance the Green vision for world peace.

Below are passages in bold face from the GP US Platform that a Government Accountability Committee could be tasked with taking action to advance especially that involving corruption and other malfeasance that works against social justice and the potential for grass roots democracy to be developed. Especially applicable for a Government Accountability Committee are issues raised under Domestic Security; however, other sections feature goals that require vigilant monitoring, which a Committee on Accountability could be tasked to take on. Below are a few sections highlighted in Bold Face to show applicable platform calls, implicit and explicit, that require vigilance from the citizenry.

A. Political Reform
OUR POSITION
Greens will crack down on political corruption and strengthen the voice of the people at all levels of government.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to influence the governmental decisions that affect them. But the defining characteristics of modern politics in the United States are a corrupt campaign finance system that enables corporate and wealthy elites to purchase political outcomes; and an abundance of anti-democratic electoral, ballot access and debate rules designed to minimize participation and choice.

To achieve genuine citizen participation, citizens must share in the power of governing. Greens seek to bring vibrant grassroots democracy to every part of the United States.
GREEN SOLUTIONS

  1. Electoral reform.
Enact proportional representation voting systems for …
  2. Reducing corruption

Develop publicly-owned, open source voting equipment and deploy it across the nation to ensure high national standards, performance, transparency and accountability; use verifiable paper ballots; and institute mandatory automatic random precinct recounts to ensure a high level of accuracy in election results.

Establish guarantees that every citizen’s vote counts, and that all U.S. voting systems—including electronic ones—are verifiable, transparent and accurate.

Establish a National Elections Commission with the mandate to establish minimum national election standards and uniformity, partner with state and local election officials to ensure pre-election and post-election accountability for their election plans, require nonpartisan election boards, and depoliticize and professionalize election administration across the United States.

Establish independent and transparent non-partisan redistricting processes to stop partisan gerrymandering and protect minority rights and representation.

D. Foreign Policy
Foreign Policy—Peace and Disarmament

a. Our government does not have any moral or legal right, or any justification, to preemptively attack another nation. The only legitimate use of military force is to repel an actual attack on our nation. We demand that our government adhere to international law, including the Kellogg-Briand Pact, Nuremberg Charter and United Nations Charter, which prohibit any and all preemptive wars or first strikes with any and all weaponry, nuclear and non-nuclear.

We demand repeal – not amendment — of the Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) passed by Congress in response to the attacks of September 11, 2001, and oppose any other measure purporting to ‘authorize’ preemptive or illegal military action. In passing the AUMF, Congress abdicated its exclusive authority under the Constitution to declare war. It further violated the Constitution and betrayed its responsibility to the American people by delegating to the president – one person – virtually dictatorial power to commit acts of war whenever he or she chooses. The ‘system of checks and balances’ has been replaced by Congress just signing the ‘checks’ to pay for war. The AUMF has been used to justify U.S. military actions in Afghanistan, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Georgia, Iraq, Kenya, Libya, Pakistan, the Philippines, Somalia, Syria and Yemen. Numerous studies have shown that the ‘War on Terror’ has created an ever-increasing number of terrorists, destabilized the Middle East and beyond, and created massive death and destruction. It serves to maintain the US in a state of perpetual war.

b. The U.S. has over 700 foreign military bases. We urge our government to phase out all bases not specifically functioning under a U.N. resolution to keep peace and bring home our troops stationed abroad, except for the military assigned to protect a U.S. embassy. Many of these bases are small and can be closed immediately. We advocate further reductions in U.S. foreign military bases at a rate of closure of 1/4 to 1/5 of their numbers every year.

c. Close the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation, formerly known as the School of the Americas, in Ft. Benning, Georgia.

d. The U.S. is the largest arms seller and dealer in the world. We urge our government to prohibit all arms sales to foreign nations and likewise prohibit grants to impoverished and undemocratic nations unless the money is targeted on domestic, non-military needs. In addition, grants to other nations may not be used to release their own funds for military purposes.

e. The U.S. must not be a conduit for defense contractors to market their products abroad and must shift our export market from arms to peaceful technology, industrial and agricultural products, and education.f. The U.S. must prohibit all covert actions used to influence, de-stabilize or usurp the governments of other nations, and likewise prohibit the assassination of, or assistance in any form for the assassination of, foreign government officials. We must build on the Earth Charter that came out of the 1992 U.N. environmental Earth Summit. New definitions of what constitutes real security between nations must be debated and adopted by the foreign policy community.

  1. A Real Road to Peace in the Middle East
The Green Party of the United States recognizes that our greatest contribution to peace in the Middle East will come through our impact on U.S. policy in the region.
Our commitments to ecological wisdom, social justice, grass-roots democracy, and non-violence compel us to oppose U.S. government support for “friendly” regimes in the region when those regimes violate human rights, international law, and existing treaties. We call on congressional intelligence committees to conduct comprehensive public hearings on the development and deployment of weapons of mass destruction by all states in the region.
U.S. policy should support the removal and/or destruction of all such weapons wherever they are found there.
  2. E. Domestic Security
Greens want to stop the assault on our civil liberties that intensified after the attacks of September 11, 2001, and restore these and other freedoms to all people.
During the last several decades, there has been an erosion of freedom in the United States. This has come from many sources and takes many forms, including the war on drugs and widespread imprisonment of nonviolent drug offenders; the increased use of personal identification, surveillance of employees at work, and the growing use of private security forces by corporations; restrictions on the speech of protesters and students; and random traffic stops of persons of color and the commonplace use of roadblocks.
Since 9/11, this erosion has turned into a collapse of our freedoms, as then President Bush authorized torture, illegal wiretapping, indefinite detention without trial, and widespread government surveillance.
Greens believe that all such systematic degradation or elimination of our constitutional protections must stop, and that corrective measures need to be taken in a timely manner by Congress to fully reinstate all such losses of guaranteed citizen protections.
Immediately address environmental degradation in all forms. Environmental degradation poses extremely pressing concerns to both domestic and international security, amongst other things. An increasing frequency / intensity of extreme weather events as a whole are stressing global food, water, financial, security, energy, transportation, emigration/immigration, and other systems – pitting the self-interests of normally peaceful nations against each other. See chapter III for more detail.
  3. The Green Party calls for a complete, thorough, impartial, and independent investigation of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, including the role of the administration of George W, Bush, various U.S. based corporations and interests, and other nations and third parties.
  4. We call for the repeal of the USA PATRIOT Act. Many of its provisions, along with many of the other so-called National Security Acts, undermine and erode our Bill of Rights, and contribute to the destruction of the democratic foundation of checks and balances between the branches of government.
  5. Strictly enforce our First Amendment rights of speech, assembly, association and petition. Federal, state and local governments must safeguard our right to public, non-violent protest. It is intolerable that law enforcement agencies intimidate lawful protesters with brutality, surveillance, repression and retaliation.
  6. End torture, such as in prisons like Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay and other U.S.-controlled facilities. Ensure those guilty of ordering or executing torture are held accountable for violations U.S. and international law.
  7. Restore habeas corpus, a legal action to obtain relief from illegal detention. End the use of indefinite detention without trial.
  8. Revoke the 2011 re-authorization of the Patriot Act, including “John Doe” roving wiretaps and the “library records” provision.
  9. End the abuse of National Security Letters, which the FBI uses to force Internet service providers, libraries, banks, and credit reporting companies to reveal sensitive information about their patrons.
  10. End illegal government spying, including the use of warrantless wiretaps. Three federal judges have ruled that President Bush’s National Security Agency warrantless wiretaps violated the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, which contains criminal sanctions. Ensure that anyone who violated the FISA is held accountable for crimes committed.
  11. Enact a constitutional amendment affirming that the rights outlined in our Bill of Rights are human rights and do not apply in any way to corporations.
  12. Support U.S. constitutional guarantees for freedom of religion, separation of church and state, and that there shall be no religious test for public office. Eliminate federal, state, and local laws that discriminate against particular religious beliefs or non-belief. End faith-based initiatives and charitable choice programs, whereby public funds are used to support religious organizations that may not adhere to specified guidelines and standards, including anti-discrimination laws.
  13. Oppose the death penalty in the United States and worldwide.
  14. Support students’ constitutional rights to free speech.
  15. Ensure that government actions towards immigrants comply with our Constitution and universal human rights principles.
  16. Criminal Justice: 5. Police Accountability
  17. Due to current conditions when it comes to policing the cities and people, police officers are the 6th leading cause of death for young men in America. More commonly, the greatest lives that are at stake are those of our black, brown, LGBTQIA?+ and disabled, including those with mental health issues when it comes to crimes against persons at the hands of the police. In accordance we recommend the following actions:
  18. Police Require all police officers to carry professional liability insurance as a requirement to working on the police force.

That the insurance will act as a mechanism by which we can have officers with histories of brutality and misconduct removed from duty, thereby keeping that person from committing crimes under the protection of the police department; this functions through the insurance company, which will increase premiums and eventually determine that rogue officers are uninsurable.

Serve as a deterrent to officers taking actions that could result in a complaint against them, as this could cause a premium increase for the officer.
Prevent the taxpayer from having to foot the bill for police brutality cases, which cost taxpayers millions of dollars.
Establish a national database to record excessive force complaints, to be used in hiring decisions of police officers.

L. Advanced Technology and Defense Conversion
The Green Party supports defense technology transfer towards a peacetime technology-based economy, particularly new industrial applications and developments in the areas of advanced communications, alternative energy, non-toxic battery technology and waste management.
Consolidation of the nuclear weapons complex should move toward alternative civilian technologies and non-proliferation work, not toward a new generation of nuclear weapon design and production.
We recognize the need for de-escalating the continuing arms race, and we strongly oppose putting nuclear weapons, lasers and other weapons in space in a new militarization policy that is in clear violation of international law. [See section F. Demilitarization and Exploration of Space in chapter I]
Let us go forward with government and civilian space programs; research initiatives in sustainability science, environmental protection, ecological economics and transportation, appropriate technologies and technology transfer; environmental sampling and monitoring; systems testing; laser communications; and high speed computers.

Let us devote a larger percentage of our nation’s research and development budget, both private and public, toward civilian use and away from military use. Let us address our chronic trade imbalance in this fashion—not by increasing exports of military weapons and technologies.

The Green Party opposes patenting or copyrighting life forms, algorithms, DNA, colors or commonly used words and phrases. We support broad interpretation and ultimate expansion of the Fair Use of copyrighted works. We support open source and copyleft models in order to promote the public interest and the spirit of copyright.
We call for a federal Technology Assessment Office to examine how technology fits with life on Earth, with our neighborhoods, and with the quality of our daily lives.TelecommunicationsAdvanced telecommunications technologies (many of which came originally from defense applications), such as fiber optics, broadband infrastructure, the Internet, and the World Wide Web hold great promise for education, decentralized economies, and local control of decision- making. We believe we must move toward decentralization in these efforts, carefully protecting our individual rights as we go forward.

Advanced and high definition TV, digital communications, and wireless communications hold promise and challenge. For example, the public airwaves that will accommodate the new generation of telecommunications technology should not be free giveaways to media giants. An auction and built-in requirements that attach licenses to act in the public interest is needed. Technology provides tools: we must use these tools appropriately and ethically. [See section J. Free Speech and Media Reform in chapter II]

Broadband Internet access should be open to bidding, not simply the current choice between cable or telephone company monopolies, where grassroots Internet service providers must merge or go out of business. Broad- band access should be a taxpayer-funded utility, like water and sewer, ending the “digital divide” that keeps low-income folks from access to the Internet. The Internet is a commons, developed with public funds, and must insure freedom and equality of access. The Green Party opposes Internet access tiered service controlled by an Internet service provider (ISP), with independent (not housed with the ISP) most costly and inaccessible. ISPs and advertisers should not be gate- keepers. The Green Party calls for increased protection for user privacy and for accountability on the part of ISPs.Open-Source SoftwareOpen-source software is necessary to achieve personal, cultural, and organizational security in the face of technological threats brought by corporations and individual criminals.

Government has a vital role in breaking up software monopolies, not so much by filing antitrust suits, but by buying nothing but open systems. The U.S. Government and the larger states are buyers large enough to influence the computer and software systems through their purchasing. It should be illegal for a government agency to create and store information vital to its operations in a format it doesn’t control. Governments should always consider storing information with open-source software and in-house staff instead of only commercial systems, vendors and software. One way to achieve this would be to add a virtual bid for in-house open source deployment whenever a software purchase goes out for bid.

The Green Party supports protection of software (free or proprietary) by means of the copyright. We strongly oppose granting of software patents. Mathematical algorithms are discovered, not invented, by humans; therefore, they are not patentable. The overwhelming majority of software patents cover algorithms, and should never have been awarded, or they cover message formats of some kind, which are essentially arbitrary. Format patents only exist to restrain competition, and the harm falls disproportionately on programmers who work independently or for the smallest employers.

Nanotechnology—the science of manipulating matter at the molecular level—is poised to provide a new industrial revolution with vast social and environmental consequences. Like nuclear science and biotechnology, nanotechnology is being pursued largely outside of public debate, risking great harm and abuse in its use and application.

The Green Party calls for a halt to nanotechnology development until the following conditions are met:
11.Development of full and open public debate about the implications of nanotechnology and the fusion of nanotech with biological, materials and information sciences.
12. Development of democratic public control mechanisms to regulate the direction of nanotechnology research and development.

13. Expanded research into the environmental and health consequences of exposure to nano-scale materials.
14. Development of technology to contain and monitor nano-scale materials.
15. Development of precautionary safety measures for the containment and control over nano-scale materials.

Chuck Fall Platform plank proposals in Non-Violence section; calls for Government Accountability, Transparency and Whistleblower protections

Platform additions are [bracketed and in bold face]: no sections are proposed to be eliminated. Submitted to August 21, 2021 Pacific Green Party Convention

PGP Platform Plank proposal for section under Non-Violence.

Non-violence
It is essential that we develop effective alternatives to society’s current patterns of violence. We will work to demilitarize, and eliminate weapons of mass destruction. We promote nonviolent methods to oppose practices and policies with which we disagree, [both domestically and foreign], and will guide our actions toward lasting personal, community, and global peace.

War and Foreign Policy: [domestic and international]
We will work to dismantle the US war machine, including both the military-industrial complex and the global hegemony it expands and maintains, [as well as, its security agencies such as the FBI and the CIA]. To do this, we must overcome our government’s exceptionalism and bring it into compliance with the norms of international law and diplomacy. [To this end, we demand government accountability for state crimes against democracy (foreign and domestic), full transparency from public officials, and maximal protections for whistle blowers who reveal government malfeasance.]

Action Items:
#1. Adapt the U.N. Charter explicitly into the U.S. code, so that government must adhere to it as domestic law as required by the Constitution.

#2. Immediately cease all acts of aggressive war and other violations of national sovereignty, including assistance to rebellions and coup attempts. Withdraw immediately from Syria and Afghanistan and refrain from further interference in their affairs.

#3. End the use of hostile diplomacy and economic warfare to antagonize other nations.

#4. End military aid and arms sales to countries engaged in regional aggressions in support of US hegemonic interests, in particular Israel and Saudi Arabia.

#5. [Call for a Truth Commission from US Congress, or United Nations, or other independent tribunal, to conduct a full and open and transparent investigation into alleged state crimes against democracy, foreign and domestic; in particular, the crimes of the 1960’s assassinations and the 9/11 attacks should be investigated as crimes against democracy.]

We reject any pretext for aggression, [be it by foreign] brutal dictators, [domestic antagonists to our democracy], a humanitarian crises, exporting our political and cultural values, false flag provocations, or the aspirations of nationalist movements. While our pillar of peace opposes any aggressive war, [or domestic attack on our democracy], it is not intended to marginalize our support for people employed by any branch of the military or right to legitimate self-defense. We remain cognizant of our country’s position as a global hegemon and colonizer.  We the People must:

Support the right of the Palestinian people to resist colonization and return to the land from which they were unlawfully expelled. We advocate participation in the Boycott, Divest and Sanctions movement. We reject attempts to designate opposition to Zionism as anti-Semitism.

End mass surveillance and manipulation of public opinion by intelligence agencies, and repeal laws which facilitate this, in particular the USA Patriot Act. We will abolish the CIA and NSA.

End the cold war with Iran and the resurgent cold war with Russia, forestall the emerging economic war with China, and withdraw from NATO.

The US will publicly repudiate the Monroe Doctrine and refrain from interference in the affairs of other sovereign states in the western hemisphere. In particular it will end its efforts to overthrow the governments of Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua.

Oregon will withdraw all National Guard troops from foreign exercises and block their current and future orders for deployment.

Applaud the elimination of  “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” and welcome the full and open service of the LGBTQ communities in Oregon’s National Guard and the US Armed Forces.
Prohibit military recruitment in public K-12 schools.

Prohibit in-state development, deployment, transport or storage of nuclear, biological or chemical weapons, land-mine devices or other internationally illegal munitions.
Enforce strict mandatory cleanup of existing nuclear, biological, and chemical weapons sites.

Dissolve the corporate status of any Oregon-based corporation that engages in the business of mercenary work, and bar any similar non-Oregon-based private military contractor from doing business in or recruiting in the State of Oregon.

Repeal NAFTA, GATT, and the FTAA; abolish the WTO; require that all future trade agreements include triple bottom line principles of accounting that guarantee strong labor and environmental standards will be applied and strictly enforced; that local autonomy will be respected and maintained; and that trade disputes will be resolved through open and democratic processes.

[Form a caucus and / or standing committee titled “Government Accountability, Transparency and Whistleblower Protections” to support efforts to press for government accountability and transparency in government and corporate affairs, and support enhanced whistle blower protections. The need for sustained vigilant monitoring of government over-reach makes it necessary to establish a standing committee.]

Appendix / supporting explanation: Here is a link to an essay makes a call for a Government Accountability Committee; it is aspirational only but offers a rational for institutionalizing a standing committee / caucus: https://chuckfall.com/2021/04/20/all-political-parties-need-a-caucus-on-government-accountability-transparency-and-whistle-blower-protection-a-resolutions/

Resolution to recognize Liberty Caucus

Resolution to recognize the value and importance for a Liberty Caucus / Standing Committee; amend by laws to read Caucus may be ‘explicitly ideological’:

Mission: is to hold government and corporations and equity funds accountable, demand transparency in all proceedings and deliberations, and support whistle blower protections with immunity from prosecution.

Within the Green Party Platform and within basic values, we hold Grass roots democracy as a main objective, and we recognize that a healthy republic requires these measures: accountability, transparency and whistle blower protections; for without oversight, malfeasance will be conducted with impunity and possibilities for democracy will fade.

Green principles of non-violence impel Greens to call out malfeasance that harms the common weal; we recognize the problem of the military industrial complex, and that without vigilant monitoring of policy and practice, there will not accountability, and without transparency democracy will die in secrecy; and without Whistle Blowers, we the people would know very little of the truth about the national security state.

There cannot be justice without accountability. Whistle blowers protect democracy and empower we the people with truth about government and plutocratic over reach.

We resolve to recognize the value for a caucus that would be vigilant about engaging in issues and concerns raised in the GP US platform: see sections of the platform that speak to areas of concern that require monitoring and vigilant media attention to protect our country and maintain the struggle to advance the good.

A Liberty Caucus resolution establishes that the National Committee recognizes that such a Caucus would be good for the Party and could help in recruitment based on a value for government accountability. The National Committee is requested to create a Liberty Caucus Steering Committee that would work at the National level to assist the National Committee.

Grounds for creating Liberty Caucus: see the platform positions and pillar for non-violence.

From Pacific Green Party of Oregon: in our platform under Non-Violence pillar , sub War and Foreign Policy plank we say: We will work to dismantle the US war machine, including both the military-industrial complex and the global hegemony it expands…End mass surveillance and manipulation of public opinion by intelligence agencies, and repeal laws which facilitate this, in particular the USA Patriot Act. We will abolish the CIA and NSA.” A Liberty Caucus will support actualizing these elements in the Oregon Green Party Platform.

Below are passages in bold face from the GP US Platform that a Liberty Caucus could be tasked with taking action to advance especially that involving corruption and other malfeasance that works against social justice and the potential for grass roots democracy to be developed. Especially applicable for a Liberty Caucus are issues raised under Domestic Security.

Enact proportional representation voting systems for

In addition, grants to other nations may not be used to release their own funds for military purposes.
e. The U.S. must not be a conduit for defense contractors to market their products abroad and must shift our export market from arms to peaceful technology, industrial and agricultural products, and education.
f. The U.S. must prohibit all covert actions used to influence, de-stabilize or usurp the governments of other nations, and likewise prohibit the assassination of, or assistance in any form for the assassination of, foreign government officials.

  4. Since 9/11, this erosion has turned into a collapse of our freedoms, as then President Bush authorized torture, illegal wiretapping, indefinite detention without trial, and widespread government surveillance.

  5. Greens believe that all such systematic degradation or elimination of our constitutional protections must stop, and that corrective measures need to be taken in a timely manner by Congress to fully reinstate all such losses of guaranteed citizen protections.

  7. The Green Party calls for a complete, thorough, impartial, and independent investigation of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, including the role of the administration of George W, Bush, various U.S. based corporations and interests, and other nations and third parties.

  8. We call for the repeal of the USA PATRIOT Act. Many of its provisions, along with many of the other so-called National Security Acts, undermine and erode our Bill of Rights, and contribute to the destruction of the democratic foundation of checks and balances between the branches of government.

  9. Strictly enforce our First Amendment rights of speech, assembly, association and petition. Federal, state and local governments must safeguard our right to public, non-violent protest. It is intolerable that law enforcement agencies intimidate lawful protesters with brutality, surveillance, repression and retaliation.

  10. End torture, such as in prisons like Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo Bay and other U.S.-controlled facilities. Ensure those guilty of ordering or executing torture are held accountable for violations U.S. and international law.

  11. Restore habeas corpus, a legal action to obtain relief from illegal detention. End the use of indefinite detention without trial.

  12. Revoke the 2011 re-authorization of the Patriot Act, including “John Doe” roving wiretaps and the “library records” provision.

  13. End the abuse of National Security Letters, which the FBI uses to force Internet service providers, libraries, banks, and credit reporting companies to reveal sensitive information about their patrons.

  15. Enact a constitutional amendment affirming that the rights outlined in our Bill of Rights are human rights and do not apply in any way to corporations.

  17. Oppose the death penalty in the United States and worldwide.

  18. Support students’ constitutional rights to free speech.

  19. Ensure that government actions towards immigrants comply with our Constitution and universal human rights principles.

Criminal Justice: 5. Police Accountability

We recognize the need for de-escalating the continuing arms race,
and we strongly oppose putting nuclear weapons, lasers and other weapons in space in a new militarization policy that is in clear violation of international law.

We call for a federal Technology Assessment Office to examine how technology fits with life on Earth, with our neighborhoods, and with the quality of our daily lives.

Telecommunications Advanced telecommunications technologies (many of which came originally from defense applications), such as fiber optics, broadband infrastructure, the Internet, and the World Wide Web hold great promise for education, decentralized economies, and local control of decision- making.

NanotechnologyNanotechnology—the science of manipulating matter at the molecular level—is poised to provide a new industrial revolution with vast social and environmental consequences. Like nuclear science and biotechnology, nanotechnology is being pursued largely outside of public debate, risking great harm and abuse in its use and application.

The Green Party calls for a halt to nanotechnology development until the following conditions are met:

Development of full and open public debate about the implications of nanotechnology and the fusion of nanotech with biological, materials and information sciences.

Development of democratic public control mechanisms to regulate the direction of nanotechnology research and development.

Expanded research into the environmental and health consequences of exposure to nano-scale materials.

Development of technology to contain and monitor nano-scale materials.

Development of precautionary safety measures for the containment and control over nano-scale materials.

Greens declare ecological and social emergency; launch 2024 presidential run!

Green Progressive News
*this post is aspirational, hopeful that GP US media would promote media, and adopt a long term campaign along the lines posted below.

The Green Party US rallied behind a declaration of ecological and social emergency after two heat domes settled over the North West and Western U.S. On the Canadian coastline, over a Billion sea creatures perished under the searing heat. In California, prime growing regions may fall a similar fate; after a point, unbearable heat makes life impossible.

The Declaration notes that the heat domes are proof beyond any doubt that global warming caused by profligate use of fossil fuels has led to our tragic fate of ecology out of balance.

Why is it that the United States leadership within government and within the industrial corporate elite has not done anything to stop global warming? The Oil Giant, Exxon / Mobile knew as far back as 1972 that over use of fossil fuels would heat up the planet with green house gases including carbon dioxide?

Furthermore, James Hansen, a Goddard Laboratory scientist, paid through US research funding, provided irrefutable evidence of the problem of fossil fuel effluence and the danger of global warming.

But his report was shut down. The Hansen study was shelved and denied a fair hearing; environmental hatchet-man, John Sununu, while in the service of President Bush, Sr., did the deed. To this day there have no national legislation to limit the use of fossil fuels.

The failure to address the problem of excessive carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, has enabled Big Oil has to operate with relative impunity, without accountability, and so there are no limits in sight to change the course of industrial civilization.

The Greens have chosen an apt moment to take a stand with a declaration of ecological emergency; by doing so Greens claim the mantle of responsible stewardship of the earth. The obvious failure of elected and non-elected leadership to stand up for the ‘general welfare,’ as prescribed by the Constitution, demands Greens to step in and fill the void; an amoral leadership with a moral leadership.

As a complement to the Declaration of Emergency, Green Party US intends to advance a full throttle campaign for the Presidency in 2024, with a Shadow Cabinet to amplify the message for a Green society.

A Declaration of Emergency, enhanced with a multi-year electoral campaign, will turbo charge Green efforts to get on the ballot in states that don’t have ballot access, and it will energize, every state in the union to push a Green political agenda.

An early Presidential / Shadow Cabinet campaign will energize the 2022 election season and provide Greens a common message: that the elites have failed the nation, only Greens not financially tied to Corporations and Equity funds and other wealthy donors, can provide the free hand to make chan. Greens are untethered to corporate campaign finance, so they are free to follow our values and goals for ecologically and socially just conditions.

It is beyond the scope of this brief call-to-action to enumerate the steps that need to be taken to address global warming and secure social justice, but one thing is certain, removing carbon dioxide through regenerative farming, tree planting, sea based agriculture, and even industrial scale Carbon Dioxide sequestration must be made a priority while simultaneously reducing use of fossil fuels.

Any down playing of the eco-emergency, and claim that we cannot afford to address the is laughable given how under the Covid “pandemic” the United States government has provided well over $4 Trillion in value to hold the economy together and finance the vaccine rollout.

Money is not the problem; asserting the will to change is the problem, and the elites have spoken with the heat dome; they are not going to act; they are going to hold onto possibilities for making profit; as a result, they have shown they are committed to acting in the public interest.

Now is the time for Greens to make the call and step into the void and lead. Declare an emergency and fight like hell to save what we can.
